In the SECONDBronx Mathcounts Competition we had five schools
participate. Each fielded a team and some brought additional individual
competitors. We hope all participants and visitors had a good time.
We know that we did! Congratulations to all the participants and good
luck to the those going on the the State competition.

The contest starts off with a series of written tests.
While coaches, family and friends nervously await the outcome. They had a
chance to try their skill on the lightning round questions from the 2004
competition.
At the same time, the chapter members and other valiant volunteers marked the
tests as each section was finished.
During a break, a welcome snack was available.
After the written tests were graded, the top ten individual scorers got ready
to participate in the Lightning Round. The results of this do not affect
who goes on to the state competition in Albany, but it is a lot of fun, and very
exciting.
